Meet Our Founder: Mrs. Elliott

Mrs. Elliott attended Illinois State University where she received a Bachelors in Elementary Education.  She also studied at Ashford University where she received her Master's Degree in Social Science with a focus on Education.

Mr. Elliott is a US Navy Military Veteran. He studied at Northern Illinois University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He has devoted his career to safety, surveillance, and high-tech security operations.

Mr. Jernigan has served on the finance board for several large entities. His years of financial experience make him a wonderful asset to the Cory Douglas Scholastic Academy ejernigan@corydouglasacademy.org  

Mrs. Jernigan has been in the healthcare field serving as a Register M.A. working most recently for Advocate Aroura Healthcare for many years. Her expertise and experience as a healthcare professional during a global pandemic make her an outstanding asset to the Cory Douglas Scholastic Academy family of professionals.

A seasoned transportation leader with over 20 years of law enforcement experience as a former police officer, bringing strong safety oversight, operational leadership, and crisis management skills. Currently serving as Director of Transportation at Old School Transportation, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient travel services for students and staff. 

 A detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Coordinator with a strong background in office management, scheduling, and communication support. Skilled at coordinating daily operations, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a reliable point of contact for staff, parents, and external partners. Known for professionalism, efficiency, and a welcoming attitude that keeps the front office running smoothly. 

  IT Specialist with over 10 years of comprehensive experience leading technology initiatives, managing IT operations, and aligning infrastructure with organizational goals. Proven expertise in strategic planning, cybersecurity, systems integration, cloud technologies, and network architecture.
