Mrs. Karen Elliott Founder & Lead Educator

Mrs. Elliott attended Illinois State University where she received a Bachelors in Elementary Education.  She also studied at Ashford University where she received her Master's Degree in Social Science with a focus on Education.

Mr. Elliott is a US Navy Military Veteran. He studied at Northern Illinois University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He has devoted his career to safety, surveillance, and high-tech security operations.

Mr. Jernigan has served on the finance board for several large entities. His years of financial experience make him a wonderful asset to the Cory Douglas Scholastic Academy ejernigan@corydouglasacademy.org  

Mrs. Jernigan has been in the healthcare field serving as a Register M.A. working most recently for Advocate Aroura Healthcare for many years. Her expertise and experience as a healthcare professional during a global pandemic make her an outstanding asset to the Cory Douglas Scholastic Academy family of professionals.

  Ms. Lopez has been teaching Kindergarten for five years. She is very passionate about teaching her students by making it fun and exciting! Ms. Lopez is an outstanding asset to the Cory Douglas Scholastic Academy family of professionals.

Mrs. J  has been teaching Pre -Kindergarten for almost a decade. She is very passionate about teaching her students by making their lessons engaging,  including rhythm, sound, and color. Mrs. J is an outstanding asset to the Cory Douglas Scholastic Academy family of professionals.
